- DPHHS is promoting a new text message tool available for Montanans in crisis; text mt to the Crisis Text Line at 741-741 and be connected to a crisis counselor.
- Over the past ten years suicide was the second leading cause of death for children ages 10-14, adolescents ages 15-24 and adults ages 25-44. In 2014, Montana had the highest number of suicide deaths per capita for all of the United States with 251 deaths and a rate of 24.5 per 100,000 population.
