Public meeting in Missoula to focus on changes in the vocational rehabilitation program
The Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) will hold a public meeting in Missoula on Monday, November 16, 2015 from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Life Long Learning Center, 310 South Curtis, Room 207.
The meeting will focus on explaining recent changes to vocational rehabilitation services in Montana, and to receive input implementing the changes.
It is being hosted by the DPHHS Vocational Rehabilitation and Blind Services program.
The meeting will feature an open discussion regarding the impact of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) in Montana.
On July 22, 2014 the WIOA was signed into law. The act included a reauthorization of the Rehabilitation Act and changed vocational rehabilitation services significantly. In fact, WIOA contains more than 100 changes to the Rehabilitation Act.
