Worklife Wellness Conference May 21-22
The 2008 Montana Worklife Wellness Conference is May 21-22 in West Yellowstone at the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort.
A pair of national experts will highlight the event dubbed ‘Making It Work in Montana.’
David Hunnicutt, president of the Wellness Councils of America will open the conference at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21 by discussing how worksite health promotion is a smart and essential business strategy.
Then, on Thursday, May 22 Wendy Lynch, PhD, Senior Strategist of the Health as Human Capital Foundation will present a closing keynote about health in the big picture of business performance.
A total of 14 Montana experts will share their knowledge about how they are making worksite health promotion work in Montana.
The event is sponsored, in part, by the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS).
The conference will draw in professionals from various business sectors including human resource and benefits, health insurance, public school administration, worksite health promotion/wellness, healthcare, safety/workers compensation, and professors and students of health promotion and business.
“Strong attendance is expected, similar to the past two years,” said Chelsea Fagen of the Cardiovascular Health Program for DPHHS. "We will have attendees come from all over Montana who will be able to take advantage of the expert information being offered.”
