Farm Direct Program

Farm Direct Program

Montana WIC calls the USDA's Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) Farm Direct. This program allows authorized farmers to accept FMNP benefits while selling fresh produce at a Farmer's Market, a farm stand, or from the back of their truck or "u-pick" style.

The Farm Direct Program provides Farmers with additional sales opportunities and promotes the production of locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables. Farm Direct provides WIC families the opportunity to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables directly from authorized Montana Farmers.

If you have any questions about the WIC Farm Direct Program contact Glade Roos at (406) 444-2841 / groos@mt.gov.
