Upcoming Conference Calls

Our next Local Agency Conference Call is November 6, 2014 at 9:00am.  Please be sure to have someone from your agency available to attend this call.  The agenda and call in information will be posted in next week's newsletter. 

The next Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Program Conference Call will be held on October 29, 2014, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.  If you have any agenda items for the next call, please send them to Chris by noon on Friday, October 24th.  The next call after this one will be February 2015.


Changing to Skim or Low-fat Milk

We understand that there are challenges with the change in milk from 2% to 1% or skim for participants over 2 years of age.  The following resources can be used for talking points and participant education: Helping WIC Participants Make the Switch, Lowfat Milk is Healthy, Milk Inserts for Booklets.   


Montana Prematurity Summit

Learn about the FREE Montana Prematurity Summit being held in Billings on November 14, 2014.  Nursing credits and WIC CEUs are available if you attend. 


Ebola Outbreak

If you would like information about the outbreak, signs and symptoms, and recommendations for the public, please see the CDC website. In addition, the Montana DPHHS has set up a hotline to field inquiries about Ebola at (406) 444-0273.
