Child and Family Services provides state and federally mandated protective services to children who are abused, neglected, or abandoned. This includes receiving and investigating reports of child abuse and neglect, helping families to stay together or reunite, and finding placements in foster or adoptive homes.

RECORD REQUESTS: If you would like to request CFSD records regarding the investigation or a case involving yourself, you can make this request by contacting the CFSD office in the community where the investigation or case was conducted. A CFSD office representative will respond to your request within 30 days upon receipt. CFSD contact information can be found at: dphhs.mt.gov/CFSD/
