Advisory Coalition

In 1994, the Montana Diabetes Program initiated the Montana Diabetes Advisory Coalition, comprised of key stakeholders from around the state who provide input, feedback, and support on diabetes initiatives.

The Coalition currently consists of about 40 members. The Coalition’s current members represent organizations such as the American Diabetes Association, Montana Diabetes Educators Network (Montana Chapter of the American Association of Diabetes Educators), Indian Health Services, Veterans Affairs, Montana Primary Care Association, Mountain-Pacific Quality Improvement Foundation, and other Montana chronic disease programs. Members include diabetes educators, dietitians, primary care clinicians, endocrinologists, researchers from Montana universities, pharmacists, and people with diabetes.
