Lead-Related Recalls and Alerts

This page includes lead-related recalls and alerts by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the Montana Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (Montana CLPPP). Lead is harmful if ingested by young children and can cause negative health effects such as learning and behavioral problems, slowed growth and development, and problems with hearing and speech.

DPHHS encourages people to stop using and dispose of these products immediately. If your child has come in close contact with these products, parents, and caregivers may want to consider testing the child for lead exposure by contacting their pediatrician or family physician.

For more information about lead-based recalls visit the Consumer Product Safety Commission's Web Page and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Webpage.
