Suicide Prevention
In 2017, DPHHS and the Montana Broadcaster’s Association (MBA) partnered on a suicide prevention and awareness media campaign of TV and radio public service announcements. The MBA is an organization made up of 155 TV and radio stations all across Montana. The MBA offered to produce, at no cost, the new spots designed to reach out to veterans, youth, and those in the highest risk age group, males ages 35-64. A fourth ad spotlights the signs of suicide. The spots have now been updated with the new Montana 988 Suicide and Crisis number.
