The role of the Licensing Bureau within the Quality Assurance Division of Montana's Department of Public Health and Human Services is to protect the safety and well-being of Montanans through the State Licensure processes.

Additionally the Licensure Bureau also conducts complaint investigations upon receiving a complaint against a specific group home and/or administration/staff.
