Grants for Registered Family, Friend, & Neighbor (FFN) Child Care Programs (Stabilization)
Family Friend and Neighbor (FFN) child care provider applications are open for Child Care Stabilization Funding.
Eligible Family Friend and Neighbor providers will receive up to $8,400 per child.
The Child Care Stabilization Grant Application for FFNs has been extended to Friday, August 12, 2022. Applicants must be in good standing with Montana Child Care Licensing by Thursday, September 1, 2022, to be eligible to receive funding.
Use of Funds
Funds can be used for:
- Time spent caring for children; buying and preparing food or activities; and cleaning for the children
- Rent or mortgage
- Utilities such as electricity, gas, and water bills
Eligibility
Eligible FFN Providers must be:
- Providing care on the date of application or temporarily closed due to public health, financial hardship, or other reasons relating to the COVID-19 public health emergency and
- Registered and in good standing with Montana Child Care Licensing.
How to Apply
There are two ways to apply for the funding:
- When your child care licensor comes to your program for a site visit, she will be bringing an application packet with a paper application, FAQ, W-9 form, and a postage paid return envelope.
- You can complete the application online.

Quarterly Report
The FFN Child Care Stabilization Grant Quarterly Report is due on Sunday, July 31, 2022, for contracts with a start date of January 1 and April 1, 2022. The reporting period is April 1 through June 30, 2022.
