Workforce Development
The Public Health System Improvement Office Workforce Development (WFD) Program works to address Montana’s public health workforce needs through technical assistance and federal grant funding for local and tribal health departments across the state. Areas of focus are training and professional development, recruitment, and employee retention and wellness. The WFD program aims to build a skilled and competent workforce, as well as enhance every health department’s ability to provide the Foundational Public Health Services. The WFD Program seeks to serve a diverse group of individuals and organizations through excellent customer service and building positive relationships.
