National Health Service Corps
The National Health Service Corps (NHSC) at the federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is committed to improving the health of the nation's underserved by increasing access to primary care in underserved areas, or among underserved populations. The NHSC helps medically underserved communities recruit and retain a range of primary care clinicians including dental, medical and mental and behavioral health professionals.

The NHSC is a resource for numerous health workforce incentive programs including:
NHSC Recruitment and Retention Site Applications: The Primary Care Office offers technical assistance for sites seeking to become NHSC placement sites and when appropriate, identifying sites eligible for NHSC placement in high-need communities.
Visit the NHSC website for information and resources to determine your site’s eligibility and review the required documentation needed to apply. NHSC-approved sites are outpatient facilities providing primary care medical, dental, and/or mental and behavioral health services.
