Tobacco Cessation: How to help patients with a quit attempt using the 5A's and 2A's & R

Three major objectives:

1. Respiratory Therapists will be able to apply tobacco cessation brief intervention though use of 5A's and/or 2 A's and & R.
2. Respiratory Therapists will be able to evaluate the Stages of Change of the patient and work with the individual at their level to help them make a quit attempt.
3. Respiratory Therapists will recall information on the Montana Tobacco Quit Line, specifically Quit Line referrals: How to refer, what to expect when you refer, what patients should expect when they are referred.
