Grant Opportunities
All grant opportunities will be available on Submittable, the online platform for submitting and managing grant applications.
A centralized resource has been created to help prospective grantees and vendors effectively navigate the grant and RFP processes. It includes vendor information, direct links to helpful videos, instructions on creating a Submittable account and a Frequently Asked Questions document.
A total of $4 million in first-year grants is now available to help strengthen emergency medical services (EMS) across rural Montana as part of state’s Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP).
Grants are open to EMS agencies located in or serving rural areas of Montana to upgrade ambulances and equipment. Eligibility is based on need such as:
- Age, model, or operational status of current equipment
- Gaps in patient care
- Level and type of service provided by the requesting agency
Agencies can verify whether they are classified as a rural health provider by utilizing the Rural Health Grants Eligibility Analyzer.
The online portal to submit funding proposals went live on July 16, 2026 and will continue through Aug. 15, 2026. Apply via Submittable. It is entitled “DPHHS Equipment Grant Application.”
