The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services continued to provide support to public and private K-12 schools in their efforts to protect students and staff from the spread of COVID-19 through June 30, 2023. The ELC Reopening Schools Grant supported in-person instruction in K-12 schools by providing funding for comprehensive COVID-19 prevention and mitigation strategies, including, but not limited to, testing and contact tracing support. DPHHS School Health Mini-Grants: Available September 1, 2023 
DPHHS provides grants to nurses, asthma and diabetes educators, school counselors and administrators working in K-12 schools throughout Montana. $1,000 grants support applicants in their efforts to create safe and healthy learning environments for students and school staff. Applicants may choose from pre-designed projects or create their own. Project focus must be related to asthma, diabetes, or cardiovascular health.
